The IDENTITY Story
The Identity album is founded on a development deal with CandySpiteful Productions in Tempe, AZ. The company, which helps artists advance their careers through a network of major players in the industry, contacted Tommy earlier this year. For the purposes of shopping the material to bigger record labels, they asked Tommy to write 6 brand new rock n' roll songs with a straight- ahead simple sound and approach. The songs were recorded at their studio in Tempe, and musicians were recruited locally by both Tommy and the label. While in Arizona, Tommy forged new friendships with some of these musicians and on one of the nights he was not required to be at CandySpiteful, he rented another recording studio and held a spontanious jam session. It was a huge success and several of the jams were deemed good enough for release as instrumentals. After Tommy got back home to Palm Springs, he went to work, conceptionally crafting an album from the 6 songs and 5 instrumentals. As is usual with Tommy's releases, the album is meant to be listened to in it's entirety.

Quote-
"I
f we give the attributes of a medium to the artist, we must then deny him the state of consciousness on the esthetic plane about what he is doing or why he is doing it. All his decisions in the artistic execution of the work rest with pure intuition and cannot be translated into a self-analysis, spoken or written, or even thought out." - Marcel Duchamp
IDENTITY Lyrics

Identity
You can't take my identity just because you're looking for one. Hacking into my computer like an outlaw on the run. You can take my personal information, steal my social security number. But you can't take my identity, even after I'm six feet under.

Can't take my identity, no you can't take my identity.

You can't take my identity like it's something you pull off a shelf. Wandering around lost on this earth, cause you wanna be somebody else. You pick up my wallet, it's something you found on the ground. But you can't take my identity to open up another charge account.

Can't take my identity, no you can't take my identity.

You can't take my identity with your stupid television commericals. You'll never change my thinking cause I'm way too controversial. Subliminal messages won't alter my mental state. You can't take my identity, 2008 presidential candidates.

Can't take my identity, no you can't take my identity.

Single Girls
Single girls, take me to the stars above
Single girls, come on and show me all your love
Well I don't know, and I can't say
feelin' like I do today
All I know is what you show
Single girls just come and go.

Single girls- rock n roll
Single girls- love to lose control
Single girls- singin' in my soul

Single girls, you see me here, I see you there
Single girls, walk thru life without a care
Well I don't know, and I can't say
feelin' like I do today
All I know is what you show
Single girls just come and go.

Single girls- rock n roll
Single girls- love to lose control
Single girls- singin' in my soul

Easy
I've been watching you
I've seen how you care
You give yourself away
to anyone who's there
Like a deer in the headlights
I've seen how you stare
going home with tears in your eyes

Ain't nobody said it was gonna be easy
Ain't nobody said it was gonna be free

I'm a lost soul, I waste all my time
Can't think what to do
with this life I call mine
But I've been watching you
I know who you are
going home with tears in your eyes

Ain't nobody said it was gonna be easy
Ain't nobody said it was gonna be free

Come and hold my hand
Look in my eye
See the distant lands
walk under the blue sky
I've been loving you for a long time
going home with tears in your eyes

Ain't nobody said it was gonna be easy
Ain't nobody said it was gonna be free

First Base Blind Date
Got your phone number, stepped onto the playing field. Gonna go into the locker room, get ready and put my uniform on. I heard you're hot but we'll just have to wait n see. I'm coming over to your house and play in the big leagues.

First base, blind date
I got an alluminin bat and I just can't wait
You know I'm going to steal second before it's too late, first base blind date.
First base, blind date
gonna go to third on a double play
hit it out of the park and I got it made
First base, blind date

Well, I ain't see you before 'til you opened the door. So I'll come over to your place and even the score. Step into the batter's box, I'm gonna take a swing. I'm coming over to your house and play in the big leagues.

All Your Movies
All your movies playin in my mind
running over scenes that seem so unkind
like the day you threw down the vase
scattered flowers all over the place

Yeah.........

All your movies playin in my mind
waves on the beach, sand castles dying
and the day you let me sit there and cry at the bar, all the times I hoped our love would go far

Yeah........

All your movies playin in my mind
they're just bad memories passin thru time
like an old book with too many torn pages
I'm sippin wine thru all our sad rages

Yeah........

All your movies playin in my mind
with eyes kept half open and true love blind, remembering your apartment up on
Beachwood Drive
old record albums and gettin' high

Yeah.......

All your movies playin in my mind
dropping dimes and reporting crimes
all those days we continuely fought
I walked on down to the corner bus stop

So I'll go on down to the local video
store where I can rent it and watch it once more. Running over scenes that seem so unkind, all your movies playin in my mind.

Hang Out With Me
Pretty girl, won't you hang out with me
come on out and just be free
our love will grow by the light of the flame
play my game and
hang out with me
hang out with me
hang out with me.

Pretty girl, won't you hang out with me
give me your love, don't ever seem
to get enough, so give me your love
we'll touch the sky if you
hang out with me
hang out with me
hang out with me.

I smell your perfume on the air
I hear you talkin, love to share
I see your spirit flyin free
Come tonight, come to me....and
hang out with me
hang out with me
hang out with me.
